At Chakray Consulting Spain, we have achieved a significant milestone: last May, we obtained ISO 27001 certification, one of the most widely recognized and prestigious international standards for information security management.
This achievement builds on the certifications previously obtained by the company in Sri Lanka and Tanzania. Obtaining this certification in Spain reflects, once again, the commitment, dedication, and rigor with which we approach information security, and represents a key step in consolidating and strengthening our security standards.
“Behind this certification lies a great deal of prior work and a team that has attended to every detail of the process. For us, information security is a responsibility we take on every day. Achieving ISO 27001 is a recognition of the work we’ve done and, above all, a demonstration of the seriousness with which we view the trust our clients place in us.”
(Cristina de la Torre, CFO of Chakray)
La ISO 27001 es un estándar internacional que establece los requisitos para implantar, mantener y mejorar de forma continua un Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad de la Información (SGSI).
The goal is to protect critical data within companies: confidential information, sensitive data, strategic internal processes, etc. Achieving this certification demonstrates that organizations have the policies, procedures, and controls in place to protect data and adopt best practices aligned with internationally recognized standards.
A project driven by teamwork
This achievement would not have been possible without the efforts of the Spanish subsidiary’s team, which played a key role in the implementation and adaptation process necessary to ensure information security and compliance with established standards. Special recognition is due to Cristina de la Torre, CFO; Luz Sardiña, Senior Executive – HR & Admin; and Larry Rider, Integration Solutions Architect, who led this project by combining planning, technical expertise, and close coordination among the various departments involved.
During the four-month project, key actions were carried out, including:
- Risk assessment and analysis.
- Review of internal policies and procedures.
- Implementation of security controls.
- Training and awareness-raising for teams.
- Internal audits and preparation for certification.
What does this achievement mean for our partners and customers?
ISO 27001 certification contributes to more secure information management, promotes transparency, and helps minimize the risks associated with data processing and protection. In line with this commitment, data security is an integral part of how we work and of the responsibility we assume toward our clients, partners, and employees.
At Chakray, we continue to operate under the highest standards of security and trust in all our processes.
